What is "Double Dipping" In Waxing?
At Beauty Of Wax we "Do Not Double Dip" during the process of Brazilian Waxing, Ingrown hair serum will always be applied after your waxing on the bikini area to refresh and sooth the skin. We Never use the same applicator's used previously on another client. Always starting each client with new applicator's. During our services new gloves are used to ensure the safety of both the client and the technician's.
Unfortunately, many technicians are not aware of the dangers of "double dipping." That is when the technician re-inserts the applicator back into the pot of wax and reapplies wax onto the skin. Many technicians believe that the heat of the warmer kills any bacteria and germs when in fact, bacteria are killed at about 202°F and wax should be heated between 120° and 131°F. Anything above this temperature could burn the client’s skin.
